Sergey Brin em Davos disse que se estavam a concentrar em três fontes de energia: térmica-solar, geotérmica profunda e ventos de alta altitude; que se tivesse que adicionar alguma seria a fotovoltaica. Sergey disse que os moinhos estão a par (em termos de custos) do carvão mas que são intermitentes e que julga que se pode fazer algo mais barato usando o vento de alta altitude através de papagaios, que são mais baratos de produzir que os moinhos de vento de metal.

Sergey Brin says the are concentrating on three energy sources: solar-thermal, deep geothermal, and high-altitude wind; if he had to add one, it would be photovoltaic. He says that windmills are on a par with coal but are intermittent and they think it can be even cheaper by using high-altitude wind, through kites, which are cheaper to make that metal windmills.
